_System Integration and Customization
This section describes how to configure and customize your
Evatel system to properly integrate it into your telephony, networking and web environments. The integration and customization phases should be started once the
Evatel system has been successfully installed and configured as a standalone speech solution already answering SIP calls, playing audio and text messages using TTS, and responding to speech and DTMF commands.
The integration task list applies to both systems installed at a service provider site as well as inside a company. These integration tasks are as follows:
- Integration into your Telephony System
- Integration into your Data Network
- Integration on your Web site
- Customization and branding of Web Portal
- Integration with your Billing System

-

Integration into your Data Network
The integration of Web Portal into you data network consists in configuring your firewall and Internet routers to integrate your Evatel system into your local data network and enable it to safely use the Internet to communicate with the world. The data integration requires settings in three areas:
- Configuring your firewall to control Internet access to the Evatel system
- TCP/IP Ports to open on your firewall
- Assigning a public IP address for your your Evatel system.
Note: This step is required only if the Evatel system is installed inside your company (not used remotely as a hosted service).
