Mail Providers
What is a Mail Provider?
A Mail Provider is mail service provider that has been successfully accessed by Evatel to retrieve user mail. When a new user wants to subscribe to the Speech Outlook service, Evatel checks if the user's e-mail address corresponds to a known mail provider (in the Known Mail Provider list). If it is the case, the user will not be asked to provide technical information such as the mail server name and URL since it has already been tested and stored in the Mail Providers database. If the user's mail provider is not already known, Evatel asks for the server name and URL of the user's mail provider. Once accessed successfully, the new mail provider is submitted for validation by the system administrator, which is a condition to add the mail service provider to the list of mail providers.
